KETTLEBELL TYPES EXPLAINED
You do not need to purchase any kettlebells for training. I bring kettlebells in a variety of weights to each session as needed. However, if you would like to invest in your own for personal use, here are the main options and their differences.
Cast Iron Kettlebells
View on Amazon →Cast iron kettlebells are the traditional style, with the size increasing as the weight goes up. They are generally more affordable and work well for general training. Handle thickness can vary between weights, which may change the feel of certain exercises. They are also better suited for two-handed movements.
Competition Kettlebells
View on Amazon →Competition kettlebells are made from steel and are uniform in size regardless of weight, which allows for consistent technique across all lifts. The handles are typically thinner and more standardized, making them ideal for high-rep work or advanced kettlebell sport training. They often have a square-shaped handle window and a more polished finish.
Making Your Choice
Both options can be excellent for training. Your choice may come down to comfort, budget, and personal preference.
